Upgrade existing trails and build
new ones to link our existing trails to other
cities.
2.
Improve the image
of ATV riders.
3. Keep
our members informed on government regulations and issues that could
affect our right to ride.
4. Hold
club rides & have fun!
5. Be
active members of the State ATV Association (ATVAM) to be sure we
have a voice in any government
decisions.
We would
like to let everyone know where the money we raise and your dues go,
so here are some of the clubs accomplishments for the year 2009:
We
designed, published and paid for 5000 wonderful trail maps linking
Emily, Outing, the Moose River system and the Soo Line.
We
developed, paid for and installed 9-1-1 signs in the woods in an
effort to assist our First Responders.
The Pork
N' Ride Fund Raising event not only raised $2,000 for us, but also
brought in 200 ATVs to ride the trails and provide some much needed
help to our economy.
Our 10
Trail Ambassadors rode208 hours on area trails throughout the summer
helping other riders.
We
designed and printed 6 large, 4 X 4, "ATVing Depends on You" signs
to help riders understand some local and state rules. These will be
located on area businesses.
We hired
a contractor to fix a major problem area on Community Hall Road.
We
continue to assist our local Chamber of Commerce during their fund
raising activities (Bingo calling, meat raffle assistance, etc.)
We cut
and removed more than 25 trees which had fallen across the trails.
We worked
with Cass County, hired a contractor, added shoulder fill and
re-groomed part of CR 58.
We worked
with MnDOT, hired a contractor, began work to re-groom and fix some
of the St Hwy 6 ditch from Emily to Outing (more work is needed).
We
purchased and installed additional trail signs. This is an on-going
effort that needs to be done every year.
We
participated in the Emily Day Parade AND we won first prize!!!
We
sponsored 2 Youth ATV Certification Classes.
We
conducted a road ditch cleanup on County Rd 58.
We
provided trailers and ATVs for the Haunted Halloween Ride in Mission
TWP, for which the Mission Fire Department donated $500 back to the
our club as a thank-you.
We
attended multiple meetings with sate, county and local government
units in order to keep our trails open.
And we
also had fun with hot dog rides, a pig roast and rid completely paid
for by 4 club members, a woman's ride, and smaller rides throughout
the summer.
